New Finance Director appointed by P&O Ferrymasters
Chris Cassidy has been appointed Finance Director of leading European Freight Management specialist, P&O Ferrymasters.
He replaces Bas Belder, who took over from John Bradshaw as Managing Director of the company last month.
Bas Belder said: “Chris will bring vast experience to the role, having worked with our senior finance team since 2000. During that time he has played a key role in some major corporate projects including the successful implementation of a new accounting system.”
Chris will relocate from his home in Essex, England to Rozenburg in Holland to take up the post and a place on the Board from 1 August.
He added: “I’m looking forward to building on the strong financial foundations that have already been laid within the company. It is an exciting time to take on this challenge as the company and its reputation as Europe’s leading logistics provider continue to grow.”
Chris, 37, is a Fellow of the Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and qualified as an accountant in 1992. He also achieved an MBA through the Open University in 1999.
P&O Ferrymasters is part of P&O Ferries, which is owned by Dubai World. The company employs 900 people at 25 strategic locations across nine European countries.
