Customer Service Representative

Your role

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be part of a highly dedicated and professional team, which is responsible for delivering the highest quality of service to an internationally dedicated client base. The main purpose of your role will be responsible for the whole customer order acceptance linked with administrative activities and for meeting and exceeding service expectations as set by the customer.

Key responsibilities
  • To put in booking information on the operating system (Fr8) in a timely, accurate and correct manner, and safeguarding that this is kept up to date throughout the course of the day. To this end ensuring that operational difficulties are being pursued on behalf of the customer and also taking necessary actions when the required company standards are not being met
  • To ensure that all requirements are met relating to hazardous loads and documentation
  • To safeguard the data quality of orders
  • To build a constructive and pleasant relationship with a dedicated customer base, to build a strong rapport with customers
  • To ensure all customer agreements (i.e. rate-; fuel- and invoice agreements) are recorded and applied
  • To ensure that Planners are aware of the orders taken and the level of priority of these orders
  • To be pro-active in the solving of problems that may/or will result in customer dissatisfaction with service (i.e. failure in agreed service level; delays etc.)
  • To advise customers on developments with regards to deliveries and collections including any changes to the agreed service level, delays, extra costs etc.
  • To assist the Supervisor Customer Service in meeting commercial policy expectations and departmental objectives and work closely with other departments, such as Shipping, Sales, Traffic and other P&O Ferrymasters offices in response to customer requirements
Your profile
  • Have at least two years of specific work experience in a customer service role preferably in logistics
  • Have strong communication skills and you are a real team player
  • Have a good topographical knowledge
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Have very good working knowledge of English and Dutch language
