Freight Sales Manager

Your Role

As a Freight Sales Manager, you will be part of a highly dedicated and professional team responsible for delivering the highest quality of service to an internationally dedicated client base. The main purpose of your role is to focus on existing customers based in Turkey and ensure business development, profitable growth and high customer retention across all P&O Ferrymasters products. Via this focus you will participate in the further development of P&O Ferrymasters European business, and support in delivering on the strategic objectives and growth targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand the needs and challenges of our customers, be the voice of our customers within P&O Ferrymasters
• Via the above understanding of our customers, generate high-quality leads for business development and growth with existing customers
• Qualify and nurture leads & opportunities
• Plan, prepare and carry out virtual and F2F meetings with existing customers
• Involve and align with all relevant internal stakeholders (Customer Service / Product) during the sales process
• Support Tender Management in developing a competitive tender response
• Negotiate contracts, close deals and create high-quality quotes
• Ensure quality handover of new/won business to Customer Service
• Contribute with market insights in developing a pricing structure
• CRM is to be up to date at any given time
• Sales and market reports are to be made on a regular basis including your sales activities, pipeline etc.
• Attend weekly sales meetings
• Attend exhibitions and conferences when needed

Your Profile

• Very good working knowledge of the English language
• Good knowledge of MS Office packages / CRM etc.
• Good negotiator
• Being able to focus on key tasks and responsibilities
• 5 years’ experience with account management within the transport industry
• Customer-oriented with a value-selling mindset
• Chasing growth and opportunity with each account
• Team player
• Professional and presentable appearance
• Decisive
