As IT Business Partner you will be part of a highly dedicated and professional team, which is responsible for delivering the highest quality of service to an internationally dedicated client base. The main purpose of your role will be to act as an interface between the business and the IT function. Acting as a champion for IT within the business and a champion for the business within IT. You will ensure the respective understanding and needs of the Business and IT, scoping and defining changes through to the completion of the work.
Key Responsibilities
As an IT Business Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for the full end-to-end delivery of IT outcomes, acting as the central point of contact for IT needs within the business, building strong stakeholder relationships, and translating business strategy into effective IT solutions
You will:
- Full end to end responsibility for the delivery of the IT outcomes on behalf of the IT function to the business, with access to the entire IT team, to deliver the needs of the business, collaborating with the other IT members to achieve the outcomes required
- Act as the focal point for IT needs within the business unit, ensuring the IT project pipeline accurately reflects the priorities and needs of the business
- To be a Subject Matter Expert of your assigned business areas to ensure the business requirements and justification are met
- Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the business, attend forums to represent IT and ensure Business requirements and IT capabilities are aligned. Own the relationship with third party suppliers where appropriate, to ensure that the business is receiving the best possible service and pricing.
- Understand the tactical and strategic business requirement and identify how IT can support these
- Provide monthly reports at Steerco meetings
- Identify how the Business Strategy and IT strategy affect operational processes and work with the appropriate teams to ensure successful implementation
- Obtain feedback on IT services from the business and agreeing any improvement actions required
- Help to spread innovation throughout the business by sharing innovative ideas between business units
Your Profile
As an IT Business Partner, you have exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with a proven ability to influence and drive collaboration
You will:
- Exceptional stakeholder and relationship management skills, able to influence and drive collaboration, leading by example. Preferably including experience of working with Board Level Directors
- Possess excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex problems in a non-technical and simplified manner
- Knowledge of ITIL, Prince2 and Agile methodology and working practices preferable but not essential
- Degree qualified or equivalent work experience
- Well organised with attention to detail, whilst self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative
- Flexibility to travel within the UK and internationally
- Experience of working in a large multi business unit corporate organisation and centralised IT functions
