Manager Procurement & Projects

As Manager Procurement & Projects you will be part of a highly dedicated and professional team, which is responsible for delivering the highest quality of service and with the most optimal cost to an internationally dedicated client base. The main purpose of your role will be setting up and maintaining the execution, and tactical approach of the procurement activities within the Asset division. You will be reporting to the COO Landside, the function is part of the Landside management team together with the Intermodal Director, Trailer Director, and Finance and Performance Director.
key Responsibilities
  • Creating a procurement driven mindset throughout the organisation
  • Bringing constant focus and financial results in challenging the ‘status quo’ in our activities: Challenge the suppliers, Challenge the methods of procurement, Challenge the types, and composition of the suppliers
  • Constantly reviewing & enlarging the supplier portfolio
  • Finding new technologies & innovations that can improve our service
  • Implement all of the above in a smooth way together with the various internal and external stakeholders
  • Setting up and maintaining the right follow-up tools to monitor the supplier portfolio and procurement activities
Your Profile
  • Have at least 5  years of specific work experience in an international-oriented logistics procurement job role
  • Have a strong affinity with logistics and transport, especially in intermodal (45ft) container and trailer transport throughout Europe 
  • Project management skills and tactical & strategic decision making based on data 
  • Educated to a minimum of HBO level or equivalent (preferably in logistics) 
  • Strong personality and team spirit 
  • Good knowledge of MS Office computer packages 
  • Have very good working knowledge of English and Dutch language
