Your role
As an experienced Freight Forwarder you will be responsible for controlling the collection and delivery of goods on behalf of our customers and ensuring that consistently high service levels are met.
Key responsibilities
- Provide an efficient and cost-effective collection and delivery service using group and sub-contracted resources
- Supply sufficient haulage to ensure service standards are met (including matching collections to deliveries)
- Liaise closely with the customer and haulier
- Deal with, and resolve, all queries relating to service issues or incidents
- Update the in-house computer system
- Provide weekly profit margin reports and prepare for period end in line with accounting procedures
- Identify any potential new business opportunities
- Ensure statutory requirements are met, especially relating to hazardous loads and documentation
- Be familiar with and understand all Core and Support procedures relevant to the role.
Your profile
As Freight Forwarder you have strong communication and influencing skills, and the ability to liaise with people at all levels competently and professionally.
So you have:
- Previous freight forwarding experience or at least 5 years’ experience in a customer focused operational role.
- Good knowledge and contact with the haulage industry
- Good command of Hungarian and English language (any additional language will be considered as advantage)
- Excellent organisational skills, including ability to prioritise and manage own workload and work to deadlines.
- A good attention to detail and accuracy
- Good IT skills, including MS Word and Excel
- A positive customer service attitude
- H&S knowledge and awareness (would be useful).
