Haulage Planner

Your Role

As a Haulage Planner you will be part of a highly dedicated and professional team, which is responsible for delivering the highest quality of service to an internationally dedicated client base. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the accurate execution of all transport orders, encompassing both administrative and operational activities related to haulage suppliers. 
You will facilitate clear and timely communication between Customer Service, hauliers, and drivers to optimize performance and maximize returns. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining high-quality data within our systems, enabling other departments to operate effectively and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate execution of all transport orders aligned with client demands, adhere to company policies, and promptly report deviations. Manage supplier tariffs and maintain high-quality data entry in the ERP system
• Optimize load combinations considering client requirements, loading/unloading locations, and load characteristics. Minimize empty kilometers through load consolidation and manage cost charges to suppliers
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of carriage regulations by reviewing circulars, participate in relevant management meetings, and assess load handling capacity to optimize fleet utilization within legal standards.
• Relay changes, delays, and issues to Customer Service for customer communication. Confirm loading details with drivers/hauliers and report any anomalies compared to booking data
• Manage and regularly update the Fr8 Manager TMS software to ensure accurate and current transport data
• Complete ADR training and obtain the necessary certification for handling hazardous materials

Your Profile

• A minimum of two years experience in a similar role
• Transport related Education
• Good command of English language and another European languages
• Strong communication skills and Customer oriented
• Affinity with logistics and transport throughout Europe
• Good knowledge of MS Office packages
