Transport Planner

Your Role

As Transport Planner you will be part of a highly dedicated and professional team, which is responsible for delivering the highest quality of service to an internationally dedicated client base. The main purpose of your role will being responsible for a correct settlement of all transport orders for the customer TATA Steel, linked to the administrative and operational activities of all employees involved. Maintaining a correct and timely flow of communication between the TATA Shipping department and hauliers, in order to achieve optimal performance and maximum return.

Key Responsibilities

• Load building shipments in TMS (Blue Yonder) and combining loads to optimize the load factor, taking in account of loading and unloading areas, wishes/demands of clients, specific load characteristics and combined loading regulations;
• Pro-actively handle and resolve day-to-day operational issues and challenges whenever they occur between Tata Steel shipping department and carriers;
• Communicating with the TATA Shipping department and hauliers so that an optimal service and loading rate can be achieved;
• Making sure that all changes, delays, extra costs and/or calamities are processed and communicated to the TATA Steel Shipping department;
• Allocating orders in Fr8-TMS towards carriers.

Your Profile

• Have strong affinity with logistics and timely flow
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
• Are a real team player and you have strong communicational behaviour
• Have very good knowledge of Dutch and English language
